My first UI Asset Pack release: Ren'Py Credits Screen

A small devlog to announce that I've released my first UI Asset Pack: free-to-use editable Ren'Py Credit Screen UI Templates. 🥳

Yes, I've got a tendency to silently publish projects the moment they are finished, which is terrible for visibility... so I forced myself to write at least something about it. Plus it's the only time I show up on other social media sites too. 😅

Maybe it's a fun reflection to show what the credits screen looks like in "The Snowperson" (that was made in December 2021). Not that I will update its jam build anymore, however it was the reason I revisited the idea of  fleshing out a credits screen when I looked back at it. I figured that it's something that might be in demand by more VN devs: may they be in small jam groups or creating bigger productions.

The credits screen in "The Snowperson" was functional, but it already goes a long way to add pictures as I'm not that great with remembering names, but I do recognise avatars so that leaves for bigger impression (still terrible with faces though, sorry). Back then, I’ve accepted that adding text to the gui.about variable in options.rpy would be the quickest way to get the information across, and that piece of code already came with some examples on how to use clickable urls in text.

Then when I got back to coding UI last week, it escalated that I wanted to see what it looks like with two columns, et cetera. Ironically, I actually don't even have any personal Ren'Py VN projects at the current or foretold future, and in another DevLog I have mentioned that I've bought Naninovel and then it also feels like a waste to not actually use it.  At least the UI templates are super generic now and I hope you can find use for them in your projects!
